Jabbim client - for a better Jabber

Jabbim is a client for communication over XMPP/Jabber protocol, written in the Python language using Qt (4.3), PyQt (4.3) and Pyxl library, which is a part of the client. The aim of the Jabbim client is to make Jabber approachable for common people, so it is a client for common users and beginners. Because of this philosophy the Jabbim client might not suit everyone.

Stable version
The current stable release is Jabbim 0.4.3. It was tested well and it is suitable for common users. Jabbim 0.5 is in Beta stage.

Source code of the stable release for manual extraction and running on any GNU/Linux distribution. It's necessary to have the dependencies installed.
Development version nightbuilds
Use the development versions only if you are willing to report bugs which you will surely encounter.
Attention: The current versions require Qt 4.4 and PyQt 4.4 with the QtWebKit component to run. If Jabbim reports that you do not have PyQt4 in the output when starting, you have this problem. Either get yourself newer libraries, or stay with Jabbim 0.4 for a while.
